SUMMARY & SUGGESTIONS

         The objectives of this SeaTeacher Project were attained because I had experienced to open and to adopt myself to be the Global Teacher who is always ready to enhance his skills and other competencies, to develop my techniques and strategies in teaching and to practice my English skills (also Bahasa Indonesia) that I had used from the very first time I stepped in Indonesia.

 

            Throughout the practicum, I have learned to finished my lesson plans ahead of time so if there will be changes, my prepared plans are amendable. I also learned to compose myself as their own teacher that creates good atmosphere for studying every time I step to the classroom even though there was a challenge for me to have my lesson or some terms to be translated in Bahasa. I never gave up in learning Bahasa Indonesia on how they termed some Science words which was important to me as a teacher where mastery will eventually be seen from the students. My suggestion for the incoming student teacher in SeaTeacher project, do not only bound yourself in practicing English fluency but also be open in learning the language of your student, it is like knowing the background of your students with their capabilities.

 

            I am glad until now that my students learned from me as I evaluated them at the end of my lesson and also seeing their outputs in their activities. All of my efforts were seen by my mentor and also students themselves, that was why I received good feedbacks.

 

            I had enjoy my teaching here in Indonesia not only because of the harmonious relationships found inside the school but also because of the all people that welcomed, accommodated, listened and helped us throughout our stay here in Indonesia. It was not only about teaching, but also to indulge the lovely culture that Indonesia has to offer to their tourist, and I would like to thank U.N.Y. for touring us around that made our Indonesia trip complete. And because of these experiences, I will always want to go back to visit this amazing country with amazing people.
